Set sail on an unforgettable afternoon cruise through Europe's largest marine protected area — the National Marine Park of Alonissos and Northern Sporades, a 2,260 km² sanctuary of wild coastlines, hidden bays, and rare marine life. You'll be aboard a traditional Greek fishing boat (kaiki), lovingly restored by hand by the captain himself. With space for a maximum of 10 passengers, this is never a crowded tourist boat — it's an intimate, relaxed experience. Departing from Votsi harbour at 4 PM, our safari-style route takes us along the coastline of Alonissos with its stunning views back onto the island, weaving between the wild shores of Peristera and the Two Brothers islets. Rather than following one fixed path, we let the day guide us — seeking out lonely, secluded bays that reveal the untouched wilderness of the Sporades, nature exactly as it's meant to be, protected and alive with wildlife. As the afternoon light softens, we often find ourselves cruising into a golden evening sun with calm, glassy water ahead — the best time to spot dolphins, and if you're lucky, the elusive Mediterranean monk seal or a passing ray. The Marine Park is home to some of the rarest species in the Mediterranean, including the Monachus monachus monk seal — one of the most endangered marine mammals on Earth — alongside dolphins, sea turtles, and over 300 species of fish. Please note: we cruise through their natural, wild habitat, so while sightings are common, we can't guarantee that dolphins, monk seals, or other species will appear on your trip — nature always has the final say. Along the way, we make a few relaxed stops for swimming, snorkelling, or simply soaking up the sun on deck. Snorkelling gear can be borrowed on board. Drinks are served throughout, and you're welcome to bring your own food along too. We return to Votsi harbour around 8 PM, as the island settles into its evening calm.
